Kuwait and Montenegro Sign a Memorandum
The Directorate General of Civil
Aviation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Civil Aviation Authority
in Montenegro, which allows operating flights between the two countries without
any restrictions on exercising freedoms related to air-transport (Third), (Fourth)
and (Fifth).
The former Director-General of Civil
Aviation - Eng./ Yousef Al-Fouzan, affirmed in a press statement after signing
the agreement in the capital - Podgorica, that “Signing of the Memorandum comes
as continuation of the (Civil Aviation) policy towards expanding the network
linking the international airports with Kuwait International Airport, and
opening new lines to meet all requirements of the Kuwaiti air-transport
market.”
Al-Fouzan added that the Memorandum contained all technical and legal
matters for the final signing of the agreement to organize air-transport
between the two countries respective to operating air carriers in accordance
with the constitutional procedures of each country.
He explained that it has been agreed
that the final signing procedures will take place as soon as possible so as the
air carriers could start operating, indicating that the principle of multiple
appointment of air carriers between the two countries had been introduced.
