“Civil Aviation”: A Total of 542,161 Passengers During Eid Aladha Holiday
The Directorate
General of Civil Aviation said that the total number of departing and arriving
passengers from and to Kuwait International Airport during Eid Aladha holiday within
the period 7th - 16th July will reach 542,161 passengers.
The Director-General
of the Directorate Eng. Yousef Al-Fouzan, added in a statement to Kuwait
News Agency (KUNA) that the total number of incoming and outgoing flights from
and to Kuwait Airport during the said period will reach about 3,484 flights.
Eng. Al-Fouzan
explained that the number of incoming flights will reach 1,737 carrying 285,155
passengers, while the number of outgoing flights will reach 1,747 carrying 257,006
passengers.
He stated that
the highest destinations operating to are Cairo, Dubai, Istanbul, Doha and
Jeddah, stressing the readiness of the Directorate with all its operational
sectors for Eid Aladha holiday in general and the summer season in particular.
He praised the
collaboration of all government bodies, especially the Ministry of Interior and
the General Administration of Customs, in addition to the airline companies and
the ground services operating at Kuwait International Airport.
