Civil Aviation Launches the First Program To Qualify Future
Leaders in Civil Aviation
Under the patronage of the President of Civil Aviation Sheikh/ Abdullah
Al-Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Directorate General of Civil
Aviation launched the first program to qualify future leaders in the field of
civil aviation, in the presence of the Director-General of Civil Aviation,
Eng./ Yousef Sulaiman Al-Fouzan, and a number of officials in the
Department.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Deputy Director-General for
Planning & Projects Affairs - Eng./ Saad Mohammed Al-Otaibi,
affirmed that the qualification program comes from the importance of qualifying
the training of the national cadres in various fields related to air transport,
indicating that this program is a step towards training future leaders to
assume responsibility in the future projects to modernize the infrastructure at
Kuwait International Airport.
Eng./ Al-Otaibi added that the program includes workshops
in the domains of airport facilities, information systems, the commercial
aspect, airport management, aviation safety, security elements, and airport
operations.
Eng./ Al-Otaibi alluded that the program comes in line with
the civil aviation vision and strategy 2021-2041, which was approved by the
Council of Ministers last April, which includes the development projects that
would generate significant financial earnings.
He stated that the training program was prepared based on current
and futuristic data for Nos. (20) male and female engineers newly appointed in
the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, explaining that the program includes
comprehensive developmental, administrative and technical aspects.
