Civil Aviation Signs a Memorandum with "UAE"

Directorate General of Civil Aviation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in the United Arab Emirates regarding the mutual acceptance of accreditation of maintenance agencies, on the sideline of the Global Investment in Aviation Summit held in Dubai during the period 28 - 30 January 2020.

 

Signed on the Kuwaiti side by H.E. President of Civil Aviation Sheikh/ Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homoud Al-Sabah and on the part of the United Arab Emirates by the Director-General of General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) - Mr. Saif Mohammed Al-Suwaidi.

 

The Memorandum aims to enhance aviation safety, improve cooperation, unify efforts, increase efficiency and reduce economic burden on all air-operators of both countries through mutual recognition of accreditation and control activities.

 

The Memorandum of Understanding also aims to expand the scope of joint cooperation in civil aviation activities that includes mutual acceptance of the accredited maintenance agencies.
