President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation: Kuwait's Aviation Show 2020 chance

President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah said on Wednesday that the launch of Kuwait Aviation Show 2020 represents an opportunity to show the latest in the world of aviation.
In a speech he delivered at the opening of the Aviation Show, Sheikh Salman said that this event received a wide participation this year by specialized international companies, making the venue an attractive platform for everything related to the aviation industry and airport requirements.
He clarified that the show, held in its second session, coincides with the completion of major state projects to develop the air transport sector, and development of Kuwait airport, amid significant investments aim to raise the efficiency of operation, and improve aviation services.
The latest types of aircraft, including military and commercial, private planes for businesspeople, air ambulance and helicopters, will be displayed, in addition to equipment related to aviation, engines, navigation and the requirements of civil and military airports, Sheikh Salman continued.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, several workshops will be held on the latest technology in the world of aviation, he added.
On other hand, Sheikh Salman praised the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for this important event, which confirms the interest of His Highness in the development of the civil and military aviation industry in the region in particular and in the world in general.
He evaluated the governmental efforts over the past 10 months in preparing for this event, including the ministries of Interior, Defense, Finance, Information, and Health, in addition to Kuwait Municipality, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), General Administration of Customs, Kuwaiti Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).
The launch of the Aviation Show witnessed an attractive air show by military and civil aircraft, distinguished by the high performance and admired by the audience.
About 37 countries, 200 companies and more than 70 commercial and military aircraft are participating in the Aviation Show, that will continue until January 18, with more than 60,000 visitors expected to attend.
Kuwaiti Air Force, the Saudi Hawks team, the Emirati cavalry team, and the US and British Air Force, in addition to Qatar's Skydive team performed shows that drew applause of the attendees.
The first Aviation Show, held in January 2018 under the patronage of His Highness the Amir, witnessed the participation of about 14 local and international companies specialized and displaying more than 60 aircraft that varied between commercial, military and private.
