Civil Aviation Expects 6001221 Passengers During the Summer Season
The Directorate General of Civil
Aviation expected that the traffic of passengers from and to Kuwait
International Airport would reach 6,001,221 passengers during the summer season
of this year, distributed among 2,994,786 departing and 306,435 arriving in the
country.
The Deputy Director-General for
Planning and Projects Affairs and the official spokesperson for the Directorate
- Saad Al-Otaibi, affirmed to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the readiness of
the (Civil Aviation) with all its operational sectors for this season, in
coordination with all government bodies, airline companies and ground service
providers operating at Kuwait International Airport.
Al-Otaibi expected to operate about 43,156 flights during the summer season
between 1st June till 30th September, distributed among
21,578 departing flights and 21,578 incoming flights.
He stated that the (Civil Aviation)
stressed on all airline companies and ground service companies to raise the levels
of readiness and increase the number of personnel to improve the services rendered
to passengers and raise the operating efficiency during the summer season.
