Minister for Services Affairs Inspects the Work Progress at Kuwait Airport

State for Housing Affairs and Minister of State for Services Affairs Dr./ Abdullah
Marafe made an inspection tour at Kuwait International Airport to follow up
the work progress and observe the latest organizational and health measures
following the Council of Ministers’ assignment of the airline companies to
conduct the PCR test for all passengers arriving to the country.
Minister Marafe
said, in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), that the task of testing the
passengers arriving at Kuwait International Airport will be assigned to the
airline companies so as to reduce burden on the medial teams of Kuwait Ministry
of Health, as the latter has exerted enormous efforts since the beginning of
the Corona calamity until the present time.
He added that
airline companies, in collaboration with ground services companies and local
laboratories approved in the country, will conduct the PCR test for travelers
coming to the country, stressing that the Ministry of Health will only
supervise these swabs.
During his tour,
Minister Marafe praised the great efforts exerted by both the Ministry
of Health and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation during this phase,
which had an important and obvious role in confronting the novel Corona
pandemic (COVID - 19) in the various fields and sectors.
He also praised
the efforts put forth by those in charge of Kuwait International Airport,
including the personnel of the Ministry of Interior, the General Administration
for Customs, and all airport workers, in serving the travelers, facilitating
arrival procedures, and ensuring provision of highest levels of health safety
for them.
He pointed out
the necessity for all travelers and workers at the airport buildings to adhere
to health requirements as well as the directives issued either by the Ministry
of Health or the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
