The 5th Emerging Airports Conference and Exhibition announces eminent names to its speaker line-up

Industry experts will gather in Kuwait to discuss trends and opportunities of over US$50bn projects in the emerging markets airport industry

(Kuwait- The fifth edition of the annual Emerging Airports Conference and Exhibition (EACE) 2015, which takes place in Kuwait, will see an impressive line up of industry thought leaders keen to share their perspective about the trends in airport development in the Middle East. The event will be held on 20-21st of October 2015 at The Regency Hotel. The event will be held on 20-21st of October 2015 at The Regency Hotel. Over 2000 trade visitors, 60 exhibitors from 12 countries, 250 conference delegates including senior civil aviation officials, airport directors, representatives from airport management, airport design / construction / contractors, airlines, air traffic control, safety & security, Information Technology (IT) and supporting industries segments will be present. The conference will discuss various existing and future business opportunities from the ongoing expansion and upgrade of air transport facilities across emerging markets which includes the Middle East, Asia Pacific, India Sub-Continent, Russia-CIS and Africa. The concurrently held exhibition will showcase the latest products, technologies and demonstration of services related to the airports. EACE is organised by Babylon International FZE LLC in association with ExpoTag Kuwait, held under the patronage of H.E.Eissa Al-Kandari, Minister of Communications and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, State of Kuwait and supported by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. The highlight of the event will be the presentation on Kuwait's restructured plans to upgrade its international airport, along with investments and business opportunities for Public Private Partnerships, Built – Operate – Transfer (BOT). Engr. Yousef Sulaiman Al Fouzan, Director General of the Directorate of General Civil Aviation (DGCA) Kuwait, commented: “Airports across the Middle East, the GCC in particular, are undergoing massive developments as governments aim to increase capacity and improve services in line with the subsequent growth in passenger traffic and demand. Throughout the emerging markets, a total of US$50 billion has been allocated for airport projects; in Kuwait, US$6 billion was earmarked for the expansion of its international airport.” “The annual conference and exhibition will provide a platform for market players to analyse the industry’s strengths and weaknesses, while identifying opportunities to help move the industry forward. He also added that: “Issues, which are expected to be discussed during the event, include the effect of overcapacity, importance of sustainability in airport development, and how the regional situation is impacting aviation industry. All of these are critical in today’s climate. I am incredibly excited about this event and grateful for the support we have received from industry players, both local and international”. The eminent speakers include H.E. Fawaz Abdulaziz Al - Farah, The President of Directorate General of Civil Aviation – State of Kuwait, who will deliver the keynote speech and other prominent speakers are Mr.Ahmad A. Alzabin, Vice Chairman and CEO of ALAFCO, who will discuss the general trends in the regional aviation industry; Mr. Mohamed Yousif Al-Binfalah, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company and Mrs. Talar Faiq, Director of Erbil International Airport, Engr. Saleh Dunoma, Chairman of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Emanuel Chavez, Director of Mozambiqe Airports, P.S.
